Bannon Martyn kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, FC Dublin24's Ryland McPaul tried to score from far away in the 24th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Basil McPeter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack McPhilip, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Jack McPhilip's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Basil McPeter was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. FC Dublin24's Raymun Callaghan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaynor McNamee in the 37th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Connonagh's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bercnan McGlynn fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Jack McPhilip fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basil McPeter having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Barcvni John made a kick off. Jack McPhilip struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Basil McPeter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Dublin24. In the 57thth minute of the game Jack McPhilip who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Connonagh's Basil McPeter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Bercnan McGlynn came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the FC Dublin24 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bercnan McGlynn couldn't finish the play. In the 69thth minute of the game Jack McPhilip who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Connonagh's Basil McPeter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 72 minutes of play, FC Dublin24's Jack McPhilip made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Basil McPeter was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 75 minutes, Glenn Hutton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Dublin24 and the Connonagh players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Connonagh booed when FC Dublin24 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glenn Hutton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaynor McNamee in the 80thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Raymun Callaghan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 82 minutes into the match, FC Dublin24's goal looked a bit too open when Barcvni John came free, but Raymun Callaghan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Barcvni John received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Raymun Callaghan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bercnan McGlynn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basil McPeter having to interfere. If Jack McPhilip had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Glenn Hutton was shown his second yellow card after 93 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match.
