Ryland McPaul, 20 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Carrig Scully sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute, Carrig Scully ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raymun Callaghan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Glenn Hutton's late challenge caught a Inter DC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Glenn Hutton helped the player get up and apologised. After 35 played minutes FC Dublin24 got a freekick which was hit by Glenn Hutton. 38 minutes into the match, Inter DC's goal looked a bit too open when Bercnan McGlynn came free, but Alfred McLaughlin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfred McLaughlin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bercnan McGlynn in the 53rd minute. After 54 played minutes Inter DC got a freekick which was hit by John Duggan. Alfred McLaughlin acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 54th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ryland McPaul. Raymun Callaghan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carrig Scully, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raymun Callaghan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carrig Scully in the 58th minute of play. In the 62nd match minute, FC Dublin24 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glenn Hutton to maneuver through the defense. Bercnan McGlynn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Alfred McLaughlin made a huge save. Brannon Johnson charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brannon Johnson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Carrig Scully sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Carrig Scully received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Raymun Callaghan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Inter DC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carrig Scully was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Inter DC booed when FC Dublin24 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brannon Johnson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bercnan McGlynn hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
