Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gilian Lester kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd minute, Giles Gillmour hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 8th minute Fergus McCready shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brigid Gallagher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Harrigan McJohn's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Coran McStephen firmly grabbed it by the left post. Gilian Lester might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Coran McStephen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gilian Lester ran back to his position shaking his head. Brann Myler was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 19th minute. Swanlinbar's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 21 minutes into the match, Clooneagh's goalkeeper Coran McStephen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gilian Lester. If Gilian Lester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Clooneagh's Coran McStephen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilian Lester in the 29th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Gilian Lester managed to get in a good position for a shot. Swanlinbar's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilian Lester was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Coran McStephen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Swanlinbar's Bourns Horgan got a free kick in the 34th minute. The supporters of Clooneagh booed when Swanlinbar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harrigan McJohn didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute Fergus McCready shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brigid Gallagher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brigid Gallagher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fergus McCready in the 46th minute of play. The Swanlinbar players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Clooneagh were winning 0-1.

The supporters of Clooneagh booed when Swanlinbar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brecc McFrank didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 53rd minute, Tadhg Hutton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute, Gilian Lester left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Swanlinbar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 58 minutes into the game, Bourns Horgan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Swanlinbar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clooneagh the free kick. Bourns Horgan kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. When Bean Doyle fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Swanlinbar's protests and gave Bean Doyle a yellow card for diving instead. If Fergus McCready had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Clooneagh's Tadhg Hutton slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Brigid Gallagher. That made the score 1-2 after 67 minutes of play. Gilian Lester blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Coran McStephen having to make a save. With a little luck, Swanlinbar's Brigid Gallagher got control of the ball when Fergus McCready tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Gilian Lester's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Coran McStephen was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Through an outstanding action, after 93 minutes, Brigid Gallagher successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Fergus McCready hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
