In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Smithfield FC's goalkeeper Shiel McTommy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 19th minute, Phelan McWillie made a precise shot to the right of Beolagh McDonald. Breaghwy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Torey Hunt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the match, Smithfield FC's goalkeeper Shiel McTommy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Torey Hunt. Joshua Gillmour struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Beolagh McDonald didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Smithfield FC. 37 minutes into the game, Smithfield FC's Bevin Perth nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Beolagh McDonald made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 40th minute Joshua Gillmour suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Beanon Glen Crowe during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Beanon Glen Crowe hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Phelan McWillie made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Smithfield FC's Phelan McWillie slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Beolagh McDonald. That made the score 1-3 after 54 minutes of play. Shiel McTommy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torey Hunt, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. If Phelan McWillie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Beolagh McDonald took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phelan McWillie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 70 minutes, Trien McFrancise managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Breaghwy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Trien McFrancise was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 74 minutes into the game, Phelan McWillie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Shiel McTommy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Smithfield FC's goal looked a bit too open when Blamhac McTommy came free, but Shiel McTommy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Breaghwy's Beolagh McDonald played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phelan McWillie in the 87th minute of play. Torey Hunt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shiel McTommy having to interfere. If Trien McFrancise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Torey Hunt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Shiel McTommy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Breaghwy supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Smithfield FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Smithfield FC.
