Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Drimmeen's Baydan McNamee started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daron Rutherford got free with Baiste Murphy in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 3rd match minute, Drimmeen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bradner Mullan to maneuver through the defense. Baiste Murphy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herich McStephen, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Keegan Mullan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Drimmeen's Baydan McNamee in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ardmore Rovers FC's goalie prevented a goal. Baiste Murphy came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Ardmore Rovers FC's Daron Rutherford. But to his dismay, Daron Rutherford quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 16 minutes into the game, Drimmeen's Baydan McNamee nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ravan McStephen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Daron Rutherford managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ardmore Rovers FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Daron Rutherford was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baiste Murphy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Baiste Murphy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Herich McStephen's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. The supporters of Drimmeen booed when Ardmore Rovers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brannagh Hunt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Keegan Mullan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Ravan McStephen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Drimmeen's Keegan Mullan in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ardmore Rovers FC's goalie prevented a goal. When Todd Ghee fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ardmore Rovers FC's protests and gave Todd Ghee a yellow card for diving instead. The Ardmore Rovers FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Drimmeen were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Herich McStephen was the one to do the kick off. When Herich McStephen came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Ardmore Rovers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Herich McStephen couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Daron Rutherford managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ardmore Rovers FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Daron Rutherford was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baiste Murphy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pauric Moran's late challenge caught a Drimmeen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pauric Moran helped the player get up and apologised. Baydan McNamee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Ravan McStephen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricard Martyn kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daron Rutherford in the 65th minute of play forced Drimmeen's goalkeeper Baiste Murphy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Drimmeen getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Bradner Mullan hit a great ball. Daron Rutherford might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Baiste Murphy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daron Rutherford ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Drimmeen getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Bradner Mullan hit a great ball. Baiste Murphy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daron Rutherford, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Drimmeen players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ardmore Rovers FC.
