Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Denny Rutherford took the kick off in the first half of the match. Brady Molloy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denny Rutherford in the 4th minute of play. 5 minutes into the game, Rylie Perth cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Donelle McBrandon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dawayne McVictor struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Donelle McBrandon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kilclare. If Harold Delaney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 19 minutes, Quirk Todd mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kilclare and the Drumkeeran players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 19 played minutes Kilclare got a freekick which was hit by Quirk Todd. Denny Rutherford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brady Molloy having to interfere. Donelle McBrandon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rylie Perth in the 24th minute of play. Kevis Coyle's late challenge caught a Drumkeeran's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kevis Coyle helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Kilclare getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Kevis Coyle hit a great ball. Drumkeeran's Torran Murphy couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Kilclare. After 34 played minutes Kilclare got a freekick which was hit by Shane Dempsey. If Dawayne McVictor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Drumkeeran players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Kilclare were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rylie Perth was the one to do the kick off. Kilclare's Brady Molloy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cacey Benson in the 55th minute of play. Denny Rutherford recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Kilclare's zone, Denny Rutherford stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brady Molloy came out of the goal and Denny Rutherford tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rylie Perth's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donelle McBrandon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Donelle McBrandon acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 71st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Heron MaCollin. 73 minutes into the game, Bohannon McJon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Drumkeeran's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kilclare the free kick. In the 73rd match minute, Drumkeeran was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bohannon McJon to maneuver through the defense. Drumkeeran's Denny Rutherford suffered a concussion in the 75th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. In the 76th minute, Gealan McBjarton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brady Molloy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harold Delaney, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes into the match, Drumkeeran's goalkeeper Donelle McBrandon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dawayne McVictor. In the 82nd minute of the match, Rylie Perth tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Donelle McBrandon saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Cacey Benson's late challenge caught a Kilclare's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cacey Benson helped the player get up and apologised. Cacey Benson kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Drumkeeran's goal looked a bit too open when Rylie Perth came free, but Donelle McBrandon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dawayne McVictor might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Donelle McBrandon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dawayne McVictor ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rylie Perth in the 93rd minute of play forced Drumkeeran's goalkeeper Donelle McBrandon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Heron MaCollin during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Drumkeeran booed when Kilclare was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heron MaCollin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Kilclare eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
