Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Denny Rutherford made the kick off and thus started the match. 4 minutes into the game, Taghmon's Braon McMichel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Donelle McBrandon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Harrington Ghee charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Harrington Ghee the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Healey Silke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denny Rutherford in the 17th minute of play. In the 25th minute of the match Blair Caffey sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Donelle McBrandon skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Drumkeeran getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Patton John hit a great ball. If Braon McMichel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Braon McMichel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Donelle McBrandon having to make a save. In the 30th minute, Berrach Dalton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Taghmon's goal looked a bit too open when Patton John came free, but Healey Silke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute Braon McMichel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donelle McBrandon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kevis Harkin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donelle McBrandon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. After 37 played minutes Taghmon got a freekick which was hit by Conleth Tierney. Taghmon's Berrach Dalton got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Donelle McBrandon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braon McMichel in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th match minute, Drumkeeran was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cacey Benson to maneuver through the defense. 47 minutes into the match, Taghmon's Braon McMichel broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Braon McMichel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Healey Silke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harold Delaney in the 57th minute of the match. Taghmon's Healey Silke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harold Delaney in the 60th minute of play. If Bradaigh Brennan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 80 minutes, Braon McMichel made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. Drumkeeran's Donelle McBrandon tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Cacey Benson hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
