Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Braydon Rogers kicked off to start the match. Braydon Rogers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 7 minutes into the game, one of Lackbrooder:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Lackbrooder's Pierce Johnson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aron Robinson in the 14th minute of play. Pierce Johnson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Blathma Quinnless's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Riddoc McCready in the 16th minute of play forced Lackbrooder's goalkeeper Pierce Johnson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pierce Johnson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aron Robinson in the 17th minute of play. Bradon Tierney recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 25th minute, Bat Rogers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 30th minute, Bradon Tierney left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sandyford fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Bran Ramsey hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Pierce Johnson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bradon Tierney, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Blathma Quinnless to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Blathma Quinnless reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pierce Johnson. The goal made the score 0-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Bat Rogers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lackbrooder's supporters rose to their feet, but Bat Rogers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrick McBrand breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Sandyford's Donlevy Jameson got a free kick in the 66th minute. Donegal Willson struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Patrick McBrand didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lackbrooder. 73 minutes into the game, Aron Robinson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Pierce Johnson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Blathma Quinnless sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute, Donegal Willson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lackbrooder's Bat Rogers got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Blathma Quinnless managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sandyford's supporters rose to their feet, but Blathma Quinnless was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pierce Johnson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bradon Tierney could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Pierce Johnson made a huge save. In the 90th minute, Sandyford's Aron Robinson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. Aron Robinson kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Sandyford's zone, Bat Rogers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patrick McBrand came out of the goal and Bat Rogers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sandyford walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
