In the 25th match minute, Clontoe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torrian McMichel to maneuver through the defense. Payton Barrett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Colmcille Gough having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Alfred McDonald made the kick off in the second half. Payton Barrett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Irwin McFrancise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Payton Barrett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Colmcille Gough tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clontoe's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kevin Martyn in the 60th minute. In the 91st play minute Irwin McFrancise came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Colmcille Gough. 1-3. 94 minutes into the match, Castle Celtic's goalkeeper Colmcille Gough had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Payton Barrett. Irwin McFrancise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Colmcille Gough having to interfere.
