Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Alfred McDonald got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th minute, Bat Rogers ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Colmcille Gough was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After 10 minutes, Blayne McBjarton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lackbrooder and the Castle Celtic players grew even worse after the yellow card. Blayne McBjarton kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After 11 played minutes, Castle Celtic's Branagain Bayes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pierce Johnson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Castle Celtic reached it. Pierce Johnson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfred McDonald in the 13th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Castle Celtic's Branagain Bayes got a free kick in the 14th minute. Lackbrooder's Pierce Johnson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfred McDonald in the 18th minute of play. Braydon Rogers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Colmcille Gough tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Castle Celtic's goalkeeper Colmcille Gough had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bat Rogers. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Braydon Rogers took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Colmcille Gough to make any attempt to save it. 28 minutes into the match, Castle Celtic's goalkeeper Colmcille Gough had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bat Rogers. Pierce Johnson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nollaig Molloy, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tipraite Horgan in the 34th minute of play forced Lackbrooder's goalkeeper Pierce Johnson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lackbrooder's Bairthmead Hughes got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bat Rogers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Braydon Rogers stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bat Rogers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Colmcille Gough having to interfere. Seán McFrancise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Colmcille Gough having to interfere. Castle Celtic's Colmcille Gough played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bat Rogers in the 60th minute of play. Colmcille Gough showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bat Rogers in the 63rd minute of the match. Seán McFrancise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Colmcille Gough having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Castle Celtic's zone, Seán McFrancise stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Colmcille Gough came out of the goal and Seán McFrancise tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Colmcille Gough showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bat Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After 68 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lackbrooder! The referee gave Castle Celtic a penalty, 70 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Healy Hamilton, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Lackbrooder's Pierce Johnson. 2-1. Donegal Willson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Braydon Rogers scored 3-1 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Colmcille Gough, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bat Rogers blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Colmcille Gough having to make a save. In the 86th match minute, Castle Celtic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Kelly to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th minute, Bat Rogers left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lackbrooder fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. If Bat Rogers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Lackbrooder had played much better football throughout.
