Spectators: 8053 (Terracing: 6041, Seating: 1852, VIP seats: 160) Castle Celtic's Alfred McDonald started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Castle Celtic's goal looked a bit too open when Heremon Byrne came free, but Colmcille Gough reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 6 minutes, Heremon Byrne managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Donagheumper's supporters crossed their fingers, but Heremon Byrne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Colmcille Gough showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heremon Byrne, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kevis Delaney in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Colmcille Gough saved Castle Celtic from getting behind. When Heremon Byrne came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Donagheumper fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Heremon Byrne couldn't finish the play. In the 20th minute Kevis Delaney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Colmcille Gough saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nollaig Molloy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bram Frankson having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Kevis Delaney managed to get in a good position for a shot. Donagheumper's supporters rose to their feet, but Kevis Delaney was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Colmcille Gough breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bec Willson hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After 28 minutes, Heremon Byrne mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Donagheumper and the Castle Celtic players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 28th match minute, Donagheumper was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heremon Byrne to maneuver through the defense. Kevis Delaney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Colmcille Gough tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Colmcille Gough made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevis Delaney in the 34th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Donagheumper's Kevis Delaney sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Colmcille Gough narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Donagheumper's Heremon Byrne in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Castle Celtic's goalie prevented a goal. In the 40th minute Kevis Delaney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Colmcille Gough saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfred McDonald kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Kevis Delaney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Colmcille Gough tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Tipraite Horgan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Branagain Bayes's late challenge caught a Donagheumper's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Branagain Bayes helped the player get up and apologised. 63 minutes into the game, Kevis Delaney cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Colmcille Gough was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 72nd minute, Alfred McDonald got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Castle Celtic getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Bec Willson hit a great ball. Heremon Byrne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The nice shot from Kevis Delaney in the 79thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Colmcille Gough had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After 79 played minutes Castle Celtic got a freekick which was hit by Tipraite Horgan. 81 minutes into the game, Tipraite Horgan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Castle Celtic's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Donagheumper the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Donagheumper's zone, Alfred McDonald stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bram Frankson came out of the goal and Alfred McDonald tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Donagheumper's Barry McLaughlin got a free kick in the 88th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Donagheumper eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
