Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After 3 played minutes, Edenacarnan's Blayne Mullan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bradaigh McNamara came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Edenacarnan reached it. 5 minutes into the match, Breslin McAlphie had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bradaigh McNamara. Hawkstone united's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Breslin McAlphie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Bradaigh McNamara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caoilte Kelly in the 9th minute of play. Caoilte Kelly scored 0-2 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bradaigh McNamara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bradaigh McNamara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Breslin McAlphie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bradaigh McNamara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bivitas Dillon in the 25th minute of play. When Edenacarnan's Caoilte Kelly in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hawkstone united's goalie prevented a goal. In the 29th minute, Breslin McAlphie left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Edenacarnan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 32 minutes into the match, Caoilte Kelly had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bradaigh McNamara. Hawkstone united's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Caoilte Kelly was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Caoilte Kelly received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Bradaigh McNamara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gearroid McIan hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After having played for 40 minutes, Breslin McAlphie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Edenacarnan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Breslin McAlphie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Breslin McAlphie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 48 minutes into the game, David Dunne cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Bradaigh McNamara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Caoilte Kelly was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Hawkstone united's Alex McVictor got a free kick in the 56th minute. Caoilte Kelly took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bradaigh McNamara. Bradaigh McNamara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Caoilte Kellys short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Bradaigh McNamara to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 63rd minute Tadhg Beckett suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Tory Kirby's late challenge caught a Edenacarnan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tory Kirby helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Edenacarnan booed when Hawkstone united was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tory Kirby didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hawkstone united's Bradaigh McNamara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Hawkstone united from getting a goal against them. In the 67th play minute Breslin McAlphie came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Bradaigh McNamara. 0-7. Bragain Branson struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Bradaigh McNamara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Edenacarnan. When Edenacarnan's Caoilte Kelly in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hawkstone united's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Caoilte Kelly got free with Bradaigh McNamara in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 77th minute, Breslin McAlphie reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bradaigh McNamara. The goal made the score 0-8. Caoilte Kelly recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 90th minute, Bivitas Dillon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bradaigh McNamara was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-9. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Hawkstone united's goalkeeper Bradaigh McNamara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Caoilte Kelly got free with Bradaigh McNamara in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edenacarnan played a much better game than Hawkstone united and deserved their victory. The Hawkstone united players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
