Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sligeach's Breandan McPeter started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Breandan McPeter left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sligeach fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 9 minutes of play, Sligeach's Arnold McBrand made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Braoin Mullan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Braoin Mullan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Breandan McPeter in the 13th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Barhart Beckett dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pauric Glen Crowe, 1-2. Braoin Mullan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Breandan McPeter in the 22nd minute of play. Braoin Mullan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Breandan McPeter in the 24th minute of the match. Braoin Mullan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Breandan McPeter's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Breandan McPeter in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Braoin Mullan saved Baralty from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Sligeach's Tadhg Harkin got a free kick in the 30th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Breandan McPeter in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. When Sligeach's Breandan McPeter in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Baralty's goalie prevented a goal. Baralty's Barhart Beckett was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 40th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 45th minute, Brazil Willson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
Sligeach's Reilly Robinson was substituted for Kennedy Dunne. Pauric Glen Crowe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brazil Willson, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Brazil Willson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pauric Glen Crowe having to interfere. 60 minutes into the game, Carrig Molloy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sligeach's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Baralty the free kick. After a rather tough play, Sligeach's Carrig Molloy got a free kick in the 60th minute. After some careless play in the Sligeach defense, Baird Walker kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pauric Glen Crowe. The Sligeach fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pauric Glen Crowe should have stopped the shot. Sligeach's Pauric Glen Crowe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baird Walker in the 65th minute of play. Breandan McPeter who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Braoin Mullan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Baralty's Braoin Mullan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Baralty from getting a goal against them. Barhart Beckett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 74 minutes into the game, Baird Walker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Baralty's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sligeach the free kick. After a rather tough play, Baralty's Baird Walker got a free kick in the 74th minute. Breandan McPeter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Declan McGlenn fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sligeach's protests and gave Declan McGlenn a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Baralty booed when Sligeach was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Declan McGlenn didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute, Barhart Beckett got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Breandan McPeter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Braoin Mullan having to interfere. A hard shot 86 in the game by Breandan McPeter from a close distance when the talented Braoin Mullan managed to make a qualified save. Baralty's players were relieved. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Breandan McPeter in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Braoin Mullan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 90 minutes into the game, Breandan McPeter lined in a short shot 3-3 behind a frustrated Braoin Mullan. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Breandan McPeter in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Braoin Mullan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Breandan McPeter who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 97thth minute tested the skills of Braoin Mullan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
