Darren Hughes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baoithin McCready, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Darren Hughes was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Riddock Tierney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute of the match, Baoithin McCready tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Darren Hughes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Baoithin McCready sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Darren Hughes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baoithin McCready, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Baoithin McCready managed to get in a good position for a shot. Donohill's supporters rose to their feet, but Baoithin McCready was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Darren Hughes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 46 minutes into the game, Ravan Ghee was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. France's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Donohill the free kick. Ravan Ghee hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

52 minutes into the match, France's goal looked a bit too open when Baoithin McCready came free, but Darren Hughes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Riddock Tierney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Darren Hughes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Baoithin McCready went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Darren Hughes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bodibeua Holt in the 66th minute of play. Riddock Tierney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darren Hughes having to interfere. Riddock Tierney struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Darren Hughes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Donohill. Donohill's Leonard Kelly proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Donohill from getting a goal against them. Baolach Savic hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Darren Hughes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baoithin McCready in the 75th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Baoithin McCready in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Darren Hughes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Riddock Tierney came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Donohill fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Riddock Tierney couldn't finish the play. In the 94th minute, Baoithin McCready made a precise shot to the right of Darren Hughes. France's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0.
