Spectators: 5100 (Terracing: 4100, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rorke McBrandon kicked off to start the match. 2 minutes into the match, Breandan McPeter notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Dublin Nutmegs's Gavin Grant. Gavin Grant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gavin Grant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Breandan McPeter's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Breandan McPeter in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gavin Grant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Sligeach's Breandan McPeter in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dublin Nutmegs's goalie prevented a goal. 21 minutes into the match, Dublin Nutmegs's goal looked a bit too open when Breandan McPeter came free, but Gavin Grant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 22 played minutes Dublin Nutmegs got a freekick which was hit by Healey Caffrey. In the 26th minute, Breandan McPeter left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sligeach fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Arnold McBrand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Gavin Grant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sligeach's Arnold McBrand got a free kick in the 34th minute. Breandan McPeter scored 0-3 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gavin Grant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 40 minutes into the match, Dublin Nutmegs's goal looked a bit too open when Breandan McPeter came free, but Gavin Grant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gavin Grant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Breandan McPeter's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute Breandan McPeter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavin Grant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Sligeach were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Breandan McPeter to make the kick off. Arnold McBrand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reilly Robinson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Gavin Grant made a huge save. Reilly Robinson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Gavin Grant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gavin Grant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breandan McPeter, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Sligeach's Breandan McPeter got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Sligeach booed when Dublin Nutmegs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caolán Brennan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Breandan McPeter in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gavin Grant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breandan McPeter in the 76th minute of play forced Dublin Nutmegs's goalkeeper Gavin Grant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gavin Grant was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Tadhg Harkin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tadhg Harkin really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Sligeach's Carrig Molloy shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 81st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Gavin Grant but with some difficulty. Pauric Glen Crowe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rorke McBrandon in the 82nd minute of the match. If Breandan McPeter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Arnold McBrand managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sligeach's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnold McBrand was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gavin Grant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 91 played minutes, Sligeach's Boyle McGlenn shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gavin Grant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sligeach reached it. Arnold McBrand struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Gavin Grant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sligeach. Breandan McPeter could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Gavin Grant made a huge save. If Tadhg Harkin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnold McBrand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavin Grant having to interfere. When the match was over Sligeach could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Dublin Nutmegs throughout the match.
