In the 16th match minute, Derryclure FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Keely Sheridan to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Flann Hughes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baralty's supporters rose to their feet, but Flann Hughes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Blathma John breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leon Caffey might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Braoin Mullan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leon Caffey ran back to his position shaking his head. If Baird Walker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flann Hughes scored 0-1 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Blathma John, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Barhart Beckett to strike the kick off in the second half. Derryclure FC's attentive Berrin McIan managed to snatch the ball when Shamus Bayes made a throw-in in the 51st minute of the game. The supporters of Baralty booed when Derryclure FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Briain McDecland didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Derryclure FC's Blathma John got control of the ball when Brazil Willson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rooney McPeter's late challenge caught a Baralty's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rooney McPeter helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th minute, Baralty's Flann Hughes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Blathma John. Blathma John yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. The supporters of Derryclure FC booed when Baralty was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donall McStephen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Blathma John made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Flann Hughes sent off a good shot on target. 77 minutes into the match, Derryclure FC's goal looked a bit too open when Flann Hughes came free, but Blathma John reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leon Caffey in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Braoin Mullan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Baralty's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
