After 5 minutes of play, Donohill's Baoithin McCready made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gavin Grant was left in no man's land by his defense there! 9 minutes into the match, Donohill's goal looked a bit too open when Rorke McBrandon came free, but Leonard Kelly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Baoithin McCready in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gavin Grant saved Dublin Nutmegs from getting behind. Blanaid McGlynn charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Blanaid McGlynn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Dublin Nutmegs booed when Donohill was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blanaid McGlynn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rorke McBrandon in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonard Kelly prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Riddock Tierney in the 21st minute of play forced Dublin Nutmegs's goalkeeper Gavin Grant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Donleavy McNamara took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gavin Grant. Dublin Nutmegs's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Riddock Tierney scored 0-2 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gavin Grant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Dublin Nutmegs getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Beiti McNamara hit a great ball. Gavin Grant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baoithin McCready's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Gavin Grant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baoithin McCready, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Gavin Grant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baoithin McCready in the 41st minute of the match. The supporters of Donohill booed when Dublin Nutmegs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rorke McBrandon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gavin Grant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Riddock Tierney went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. If Riddock Tierney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89thth minute of the game Baoithin McCready who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dublin Nutmegs's Gavin Grant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 99th minute, Eamonn Perth got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Donohill played a much better game than Dublin Nutmegs and deserved their victory. The Dublin Nutmegs players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
