After 21 played minutes Dublin Nutmegs got a freekick which was hit by Rorke McBrandon. Rooney McPeter hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 77 minutes into the match, Dublin Nutmegs's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Caffey came free, but Gavin Grant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leon Caffey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gavin Grant having to make a save. When Leon Caffey came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Derryclure FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leon Caffey couldn't finish the play. 81 minutes into the game, Caolán Brennan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dublin Nutmegs's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Derryclure FC the free kick. Begg Martyn took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gavin Grant. Dublin Nutmegs's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joseph Beckett during the 83rd minute. Despite being the better team, Derryclure FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
