Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sligeach's Breandan McPeter started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pauric Glen Crowe made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Leon Caffey sent off a good shot on target. Kennedy Dunne scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Blathma John, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 18th minute, Antaine McJames hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Derryclure FC's Blathma John played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breandan McPeter in the 26th minute of play. In the 26th match minute, Derryclure FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rooney McPeter to maneuver through the defense. Keely Sheridan hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Sligeach's Declan McGlenn got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 47th minute, Harkin Rogers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sligeach's Reilly Robinson was substituted for Kennedy Dunne. After the first half Sligeach were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leon Caffey stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Keely Sheridan kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. 56 minutes in the game Arnold McBrand got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. 63 minutes into the game, Breandan McPeter recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Blathma John. Breandan McPeter showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Breandan McPeter struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Blathma John didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sligeach. After 86 played minutes Derryclure FC got a freekick which was hit by Briain McDecland. Breandan McPeter kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Caffey in the 94th minute of play forced Sligeach's goalkeeper Pauric Glen Crowe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
