Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Declan Caffey took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of Shamrock rovers booed when Glacknabrade was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kennedy Deans didn't get a good kick on the ball. Shamrock rovers's Séamus John proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Shamrock rovers from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Glacknabrade's Benedict McStephen got a free kick in the 10th minute. Gaynor Dimson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Séamus John made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bradner Quinnless in the 14th minute. Gaynor Dimson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Bera McSteven tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute of the match, Declan Caffey tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Séamus John saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Berry Deans during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Shamrock rovers booed when Glacknabrade was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berry Deans didn't get a good kick on the ball. Séamus John made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bradner Quinnless in the 37th minute. Bradner Quinnless fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Séamus John having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Glacknabrade's Séamus John threw himself towards the right post 41 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Declan Caffey, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Declan Caffey received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Séamus John came out and tried to block the shot, but Declan Caffey slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 44th minute. A collision led to Glacknabrade getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Berry Deans hit a great ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Reilley Todd to make the kick off. If Gaynor Dimson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the match, Glacknabrade's Declan Caffey sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Séamus John narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 71st match minute, Shamrock rovers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torran Caffey to maneuver through the defense. Rorey Dunne's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Séamus John - 3-0 was put on the score board in the 72nd minute. Declan Caffey scored 4-0 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Séamus John, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Benjamin Hutton fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shamrock rovers's protests and gave Benjamin Hutton a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Declan Caffey in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Séamus John prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Séamus John showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Declan Caffey, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After 88 played minutes Shamrock rovers got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Hutton. In the 89th minute, Declan Caffey left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Glacknabrade fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Glacknabrade's Berry Deans got his second yellow card of the match in the 95th minute. The referee ordered Berry Deans off the ground. Berry Deans hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. 97 minutes into the match, Shamrock rovers's Brenna McMichel broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Shamrock rovers players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Glacknabrade.
