Spectators: 8048 (Terracing: 6037, Seating: 1851, VIP seats: 160) LadysBridge F.C.'s Aengus Gollogley started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Aengus Gollogley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Breas Robinson fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LadysBridge F.C.'s protests and gave Breas Robinson a yellow card for diving instead. Breas Robinson kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Gaynor Dimson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Bedilia Hughes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaynor Dimson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 18 minutes in the game, Reilley Todd fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Bedilia Hughes having to interfere. Bedilia Hughes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaynor Dimson in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute, Shamrock rovers's Reilley Todd ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bedilia Hughes. Bedilia Hughes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. If Gaynor Dimson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the match, Shamrock rovers's Reilley Todd sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bedilia Hughes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaynor Dimson got free with Bedilia Hughes in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. LadysBridge F.C.'s Bedilia Hughes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reilley Todd in the 34th minute of play. Bressail Walker kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Berry Delaney took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bedilia Hughes. Bedilia Hughes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 43 minutes into the game, one of LadysBridge F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Reilley Todd stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, LadysBridge F.C.'s Brion Gillmour dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. Reilley Todd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Bedilia Hughes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th match minute, LadysBridge F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brion Gillmour to maneuver through the defense. Bedilia Hughes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaynor Dimson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Blathmac Kirby managed to get in a good position for a shot. LadysBridge F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Blathmac Kirby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Séamus John breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Blathmac Kirby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Séamus John having to interfere. Reilley Todd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Blathmac Kirbys short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Séamus John to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Bedilia Hughes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reilley Todd in the 91st minute of the match. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for LadysBridge F.C.! Bedilia Hughes had in the 98thth minute some difficulties stopping Brenna McMichel's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 98th minute, Brenna McMichel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bedilia Hughes was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. Shamrock rovers were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of LadysBridge F.C. for a fine match.
