If Kennedy Deans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the game, Declan Caffey cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Donahue Cassin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 18th match minute, Glacknabrade was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kennedy Deans to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the match, Gowlin's Biviti Costello broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a rather tough play, Glacknabrade's Braydon Morrison got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 23 minutes into the game, Blanaid McJohn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gowlin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Glacknabrade the free kick. In the 23rd match minute, Gowlin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blanaid McJohn to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Bairrionn McVictor took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Bera McSteven to make any attempt to save it. Bairrionn McVictor struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Bera McSteven didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gowlin. Bera McSteven showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blanaid McJohn, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After having played for 42 minutes, Bairrionn McVictor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gowlin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bairrionn McVictor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Barley McFrancise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Gowlin players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Glacknabrade were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bairrionn McVictor stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Berry Deans hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. A collision led to Glacknabrade getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Berry Deans hit a great ball. Biviti Costello's late challenge caught a Glacknabrade's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Biviti Costello helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Glacknabrade booed when Gowlin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Biviti Costello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brasil McTommy hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Bera McSteven made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bairrionn McVictor in the 66th minute of play. Bradner Quinnless sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barley McFrancise blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bera McSteven having to make a save. Biviti Costello was shown his second yellow card after 77 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 77 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gowlin! When the match had been going on for 79 minutes, Glacknabrade's Rorey Dunne got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Donahue Cassin. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Barley McFrancise in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bera McSteven prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bradner Quinnless fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donahue Cassin having to interfere. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gowlin's goalkeeper Donahue Cassin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Brasil McTommy fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gowlin's protests and gave Brasil McTommy a yellow card for diving instead. In the 87th minute, Brasil McTommy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Glacknabrade's Brogan Dempsey got a free kick in the 91st minute. The supporters of Gowlin booed when Glacknabrade was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benedict McStephen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barley McFrancise recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Glacknabrade had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
