Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Kevion Mulvihill made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rd minute, Dewayne John made a precise shot to the right of Bera McSteven. Glacknabrade's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Boyd Scully charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Boyd Scully the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Monasterevin getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Boyd Scully hit a great ball. The supporters of Glacknabrade booed when Monasterevin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boyd Scully didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Kennedy Deans fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Glacknabrade's protests and gave Kennedy Deans a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th minute, Dane Lester hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kevion Mulvihill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Bera McSteven tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd match minute, Monasterevin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dane Lester to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Dewayne John's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bera McSteven was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. If Bradner Quinnless had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bera McSteven showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevion Mulvihill in the 42nd minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Declan Caffey stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Declan Caffey notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Monasterevin's Art McSteven. Art McSteven was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 59th minute Kevion Mulvihill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bera McSteven saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Glacknabrade's Bera McSteven played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dewayne John in the 68th minute of play. Bradner Quinnless struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Art McSteven didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Glacknabrade. When Monasterevin's Kevion Mulvihill in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Glacknabrade's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradner Quinnless in the 76th minute of play forced Monasterevin's goalkeeper Art McSteven to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boyd Scully recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Glacknabrade's Declan Caffey in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Monasterevin's goalie prevented a goal. 84 minutes into the game, Glacknabrade's Bradner Quinnless nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Art McSteven made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevion Mulvihill in the 87th minute of play forced Glacknabrade's goalkeeper Bera McSteven to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Monasterevin's Art McSteven played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Declan Caffey in the 88th minute of play. Art McSteven came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Glacknabrade's Declan Caffey. But to his dismay, Declan Caffey quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Monasterevin's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
