Cloonfinnaun's supporters rose to their feet, but Bray Doherty was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bartel Dempsey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 18 minutes, Breannain Martyn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cloonfinnaun's supporters crossed their fingers, but Breannain Martyn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 20 minutes into the match, Bray Doherty notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Corlisheen's Bartel Dempsey. Bartel Dempsey was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Brefni Sheridan kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the game, Bradley Cassin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Corlisheen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cloonfinnaun the free kick. A collision led to Corlisheen getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Bradley Cassin hit a great ball. In the 28thth minute of the game Breannain Martyn who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Corlisheen's Bartel Dempsey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Breannain Martyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breannain Martyn in the 31st minute of play forced Corlisheen's goalkeeper Bartel Dempsey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciarán McNamara took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bartel Dempsey. Corlisheen's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 36 minutes, Bray Doherty made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Corlisheen's Bartel Dempsey tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 38 played minutes Cloonfinnaun got a freekick which was hit by Breanainn McJames. Breannain Martyn might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bartel Dempsey. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Breannain Martyn ran back to his position shaking his head. Bartel Dempsey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Breannain Martyn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bartel Dempsey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Breannain Martyn in the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ryon McJohn to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Corlisheen's Binnech Ryan got a free kick in the 58th minute. Bartel Dempsey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bray Doherty in the 59th minute. In the 62ndth minute of the game Breannain Martyn who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Corlisheen's Bartel Dempsey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Breannain Martyn blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bartel Dempsey having to make a save. Bartel Dempsey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bray Doherty in the 67th minute. Breannain Martyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Breannain Martyn took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Bartel Dempsey to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Corlisheen getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Binnech Ryan hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Cloonfinnaun's Pierson Duggan tried to score from far away in the 76th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Breannain Martyn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bartel Dempsey was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. When Bray Doherty came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Cloonfinnaun fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bray Doherty couldn't finish the play. Ryon McJohn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Curran McPhil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpected shot in the 92nd minute by Breannain Martyn got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 94 minutes into the match, Corlisheen's goalkeeper Bartel Dempsey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bray Doherty. The Corlisheen fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cloonfinnaun were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
