Teagan McWillie's late challenge caught a Drummeen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teagan McWillie helped the player get up and apologised. In the 30th minute, Teagan McWillie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the match, Ray's goalkeeper Dinny McLiam had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gordon McBjarton. In the 36th match minute, Drummeen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Philib Caffey to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes into the game, Bowen Jameson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ray's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Drummeen the free kick. In the 38th match minute, Ray was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bowen Jameson to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gordon McBjarton was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Ray getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Cianán McTom hit a great ball. Kerrigan Ghee was a little too slow when Bowen Jameson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 59th minute. The score was now 0-2. After 66 played minutes Drummeen got a freekick which was hit by Brenainn Delaney. Drummeen's Kerrigan Ghee proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Drummeen from getting a goal against them. Barr McJohnny got the audience’s attention when, from a short distance, he fired away a great shot in the 67th minute of the game. The shot hit the left post and bounced out. In the 68th minute Barr McJohnny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kerrigan Ghee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gordon McBjarton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Breannain Sheridan hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. With 87 minutes on the clock, Philib Caffey commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 89 minutes into the match, Cianán McTom sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Kerrigan Ghee threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Cianán McTom this time. Kerrigan Ghee showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bowen Jameson, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. 95 minutes into the match, Bowen Jameson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kerrigan Ghee, 0-4. When the match was over Ray could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Drummeen throughout the match.
