Porridgetown's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reidy Costello was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Derry Hughes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bresal Keegan in the 87th minute of the match. Porridgetown's Aaden Ryan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Balor McAaron in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Porridgetown's Beanon Byrne seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Beanon Byrne the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Porridgetown protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Beanon Byrne had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 92 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Porridgetown! Rosmult's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
