The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Barclay Holt fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Porridgetown's protests and gave Barclay Holt a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Porridgetown getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Barclay Holt hit a great ball. Donan Hamilton was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 6 minutes into the match. Aaden Ryan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bowen Jameson in the 12th minute of play. Beiti Cronin hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Porridgetown's Aaden Ryan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barr McJohnny in the 18th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Bowen Jameson made a precise shot to the right of Aaden Ryan. Porridgetown's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 26 minutes into the game, Beiti Cronin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Porridgetown's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ray the free kick. After having played for 28 minutes, Bowen Jameson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ray's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bowen Jameson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Porridgetown defense, Shannon Ferguson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aaden Ryan. The Porridgetown fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aaden Ryan should have stopped the shot. 36 minutes into the game, Cleary Myler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ray's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Porridgetown the free kick. Cleary Myler kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. If Barclay Holt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bowen Jameson in the 43rd minute of play forced Porridgetown's goalkeeper Aaden Ryan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aaden Ryan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barr McJohnny, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. 48 minutes into the match, Breannain Sheridan notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Porridgetown's Aaden Ryan. Aaden Ryan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Porridgetown players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ray were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bantry McMichel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shannon Ferguson got free with Aaden Ryan in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Barr McJohnny could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Aaden Ryan made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Shannon Ferguson took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Aaden Ryan to make any attempt to save it. Porridgetown's defense didn't have a chance, in the 64th minute, when Bowen Jameson scored to the left of an out of position Aaden Ryan, making the score, 0-5. Aaden Ryan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bowen Jameson in the 67th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Porridgetown's goalkeeper Aaden Ryan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Barr McJohnny. Breannain Sheridan came free with the goalkeeper in the 70th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Aaden Ryan could save by the left post. Breannain Sheridan scored 0-6 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aaden Ryan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ray's Barr McJohnny got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aaden Ryan made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Cleary Myler sent off a good shot on target. In the 92nd minute Bowen Jameson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aaden Ryan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aaden Ryan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Breannain Sheridan in the 95th minute of the match. When the match was over Ray could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Porridgetown throughout the match.
