Adamnan Holt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brady Hughes having to interfere. Brady Hughes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bealtaine Caffrey, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Clonkirk's Bealtaine Caffrey got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Brady Hughes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adamnan Holt's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Byrne John dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bearchan Cooney, 1-0. In the 27thth minute of the game Adamnan Holt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Portarlington Juniors's Brady Hughes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Brady Hughes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bealtaine Caffrey, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bealtaine Caffrey in the 31st minute of play forced Portarlington Juniors's goalkeeper Brady Hughes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boddibevve Hughes struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Bearchan Cooney didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Portarlington Juniors. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adamnan Holt in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Adamnan Holt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Brady Hughes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Portarlington Juniors's Brady Hughes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Declan Jameson in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portarlington Juniors's goalkeeper Brady Hughes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adamnan Holt to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Terence Caffrey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Adamnan Holt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute, Adamnan Holt fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Teigue McIan kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Clonkirk's Adamnan Holt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Brady Hughes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 66 minutes, Brady Hughes successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Bealtaine Caffrey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brady Hughes having to make a save. 1-1 became the score in the 68th minute when Adamnan Holt elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Bealtaine Caffrey scored 1-2 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brady Hughes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 79th minute, Nolyn Palmer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 81 minutes into the match, Bealtaine Caffrey dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Brady Hughes, 1-3. Bealtaine Caffrey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Brady Hughes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Portarlington Juniors's goalkeeper Brady Hughes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Terence Caffrey. If Bealtaine Caffrey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Portarlington Juniors fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Clonkirk were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
