Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Renny Delaney made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alan McFrank in the 4th minute. Becan Frankson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alan McFrank took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Renny Delaney. Renny Delaney dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Cloghernagh's Ardán McPhil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brite Silke in the 16th minute of play. If Becan Frankson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute of the match, Alan McFrank got a very nice opportunity to score, but Renny Delaney was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Patrick McGlynn kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Becan Frankson was extremely unlucky when he, in the 24th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 25 minutes in the game, Becan Frankson fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Renny Delaney having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Hugh Ramsey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Becan Frankson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mully's Renny Delaney proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Mully from getting a goal against them. 32 minutes into the match, Becan Frankson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Renny Delaney, 2-0. Renny Delaney stood somewhat misplaced when Alan McFrank came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 36 minute. Cloghernagh's Alan McFrank got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Alan McFrank had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Becan Frankson was the one to do the kick off. Patrick McGlynn might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ardán McPhil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patrick McGlynn ran back to his position shaking his head. 59 minutes into the match, Mully's goal looked a bit too open when Biddy Doherty came free, but Renny Delaney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilian McFrank received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Ardán McPhil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Becan Frankson in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Renny Delaney saved Mully from getting behind. 77 minutes into the match, Mully's goal looked a bit too open when Becan Frankson came free, but Renny Delaney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Alan McFrank had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Alan McFrank came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Cloghernagh fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alan McFrank couldn't finish the play. Alan McFrank sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Renny Delaney showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Becan Frankson, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Mully's zone, Alan McFrank stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Renny Delaney came out of the goal and Alan McFrank tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There was no doubt that Cloghernagh were the better team. Cloghernagh's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
