Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5875, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) Booak McAaron made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rd minute Keely Matthews shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Irwin Costello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. George Holt came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Durrus's Donavon McPaul. But to his dismay, Donavon McPaul quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Donavon McPaul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Holt having to interfere. Kieran Dimson hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Keely Matthews took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Irwin Costello. Irwin Costello dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 25th minute, Donavon McPaul got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilbert Morrison in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck George Holt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Los Malaguistas's Booak McAaron got a free kick in the 33rd minute. When Donavon McPaul came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Durrus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donavon McPaul couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Malaguistas's goalkeeper George Holt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilbert Morrison stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Irwin Costello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Booak McAaron, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 60th minute of the match Derry Dunne sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but George Holt skillfully saved the ball. Herne Hunt kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Gilbert Morrison's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but George Holt was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Los Malaguistas's Torey Duggan got a free kick in the 65th minute. Donavon McPaul sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute, Gilbert Morrison left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Durrus fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Durrus's Irwin Costello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Booak McAaron in the 81st minute of play. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Durrus's goalkeeper Irwin Costello, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, Los Malaguistas's goal looked a bit too open when Donavon McPaul came free, but George Holt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donavon McPaul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Holt having to interfere. Durrus's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
