The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Los Malaguistas's Herne Hunt got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Keely Matthews could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Danann McCready made a huge save. If Braden McNamee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Herne Hunt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henry McPaul in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck George Holt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. George Holt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henry McPaul in the 27th minute of the match. After 28 minutes, Gil Rogers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Malaguistas and the Up The Dubs players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henry McPaul in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg George Holt saved Los Malaguistas from getting behind. Up The Dubs's Danann McCready played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Booak McAaron in the 31st minute of play. The supporters of Los Malaguistas booed when Up The Dubs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barra Johnson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Danann McCready took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Booak McAaron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Danann McCready showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Booak McAaron in the 33rd minute of the match. Danann McCready made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Booak McAaron in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Booak McAaron ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Danann McCready was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After having played for 39 minutes, Gil Rogers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Malaguistas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gil Rogers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Keely Matthews could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Danann McCready made a huge save. Bevin Callaghan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. George Holt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Henry McPaul to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Los Malaguistas booed when Up The Dubs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barra Johnson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Breed Sheridan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Danann McCready. Up The Dubs's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 54th minute, Henry McPaul got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Up The Dubs booed when Los Malaguistas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Keely Matthews didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute, Booak McAaron made a precise shot to the right of Danann McCready. Up The Dubs's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After 66 played minutes Los Malaguistas got a freekick which was hit by Beothach Caffrey. With a little luck, Los Malaguistas's George Holt got control of the ball when Bearnad Jameson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 70th match minute, Los Malaguistas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torey Duggan to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Bearnad Jameson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Up The Dubs's supporters rose to their feet, but Bearnad Jameson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. George Holt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 75 played minutes Los Malaguistas got a freekick which was hit by Torey Duggan. George Holt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry McPaul, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute, Bercnan Kirby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th minute of the match Torey Duggan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Danann McCready showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Up The Dubs's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Los Malaguistas had won, even though Up The Dubs had held more of the ball.
