Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Gilbert Morrison made the kick off and thus started the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilbert Morrison in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baodan Glen Crowe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 14 minutes into the match, Donavon McPaul notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Conaghra's Baodan Glen Crowe. Baodan Glen Crowe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Conaghra's Desmond McSteve got a free kick in the 16th minute. Baodan Glen Crowe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donavon McPaul in the 18th minute of play. In the 23rd minute Colm McWill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Irwin Costello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Durrus defense, Herne Byrne kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Irwin Costello. The Durrus fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Irwin Costello should have stopped the shot. Colm McWill kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Herne Byrne who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Irwin Costello when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Conaghra's Herne Byrne came free and shot a quick shot against goal 32 minutes in the game, fortunately Irwin Costello had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Colm McWill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Irwin Costello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Herne Byrne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Irwin Costello having to interfere. Irwin Costello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Colm McWill in the 40th minute of play. Herne Byrne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Irwin Costello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Colm McWill made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Durrus's goal looked a bit too open when Colm McWill came free, but Irwin Costello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Donavon McPaul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Irwin Costello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Colm McWill, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Herne Byrne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Colm McWill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Irwin Costello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Durrus's zone, Colm McWill stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Irwin Costello came out of the goal and Colm McWill tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The corner led Durrus's Darick Benson to fire away a dangerous shot which Baodan Glen Crowe despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Derry Dunne fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Durrus's protests and gave Derry Dunne a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Durrus getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Derry Dunne hit a great ball. In the 79th minute, Herne Byrne got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Colm McWill in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Irwin Costello saved Durrus from getting behind. In the 83rd minute Colm McWill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Irwin Costello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geoffrey McLian charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geoffrey McLian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Durrus's Geoffrey McLian got a free kick in the 91st minute.
