Spectators: 6436 (Terracing: 4500, Seating: 1836, VIP seats: 100) Intoxicated's Trevor Dunne started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bannan McJames fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Holt having to interfere. George Holt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bannan McJames, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 11 minutes, Bannan McJames managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Intoxicated's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bannan McJames was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Booak McAaron might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Batt Dunne. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Booak McAaron ran back to his position shaking his head. Keely Matthews could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Batt Dunne made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Intoxicated's Conaill Dempsey got a free kick in the 20th minute. Intoxicated's Batt Dunne proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Intoxicated from getting a goal against them. Bartley Jameson's late challenge caught a Los Malaguistas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bartley Jameson helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Intoxicated getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Bartley Jameson hit a great ball. Keely Matthewss short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Batt Dunne to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Booak McAaron came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Los Malaguistas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Booak McAaron couldn't finish the play. Douglas Caffey's late challenge caught a Los Malaguistas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Douglas Caffey helped the player get up and apologised. In the 33rd minute, Douglas Caffey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute of the match, Booak McAaron tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Batt Dunne saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in Los Malaguistas's zone, Trevor Dunne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. George Holt came out of the goal and Trevor Dunne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. George Holt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Trevor Dunne's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Trevor Dunne might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over George Holt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Trevor Dunne ran back to his position shaking his head. Bannan McJames recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Booak McAaron stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. George Holt made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Bannan McJames sent off a good shot on target. After 57 minutes of play Intoxicated's Douglas Caffey was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Douglas Caffey hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. After having played for 61 minutes, Booak McAaron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Malaguistas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Booak McAaron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Batt Dunne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Keely Matthews in the 62nd minute of play. If Bannan McJames had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Bannan McJames managed to get in a good position for a shot. Intoxicated's supporters rose to their feet, but Bannan McJames was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. George Holt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Booak McAaron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Intoxicated's Bannan McJames got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Intoxicated's Seán McSteve got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute, Breed Sheridan sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Intoxicated's Batt Dunne didn't even have to move. Batt Dunne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Booak McAaron, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Booak McAaron in the 86th minute of play forced Intoxicated's goalkeeper Batt Dunne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute, Booak McAaron made a precise shot to the right of Batt Dunne. Intoxicated's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 91st match minute, Los Malaguistas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Booak McAaron to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Booak McAaron in the 94th minute of play forced Intoxicated's goalkeeper Batt Dunne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Batt Dunne came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Malaguistas's Gil Rogers. But to his dismay, Gil Rogers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Intoxicated players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Los Malaguistas.
