Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5875, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Intoxicated's goalkeeper Batt Dunne, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Intoxicated's Batt Dunne got control of the ball when Donavon McPaul tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Bannan McJames came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Intoxicated fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bannan McJames couldn't finish the play. 11 minutes into the game, Douglas Caffey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Intoxicated's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Durrus the free kick. In the 11th minute, Douglas Caffey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Trevor Dunne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 19 played minutes Intoxicated got a freekick which was hit by Bannan McJames. Gilbert Morrison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Batt Dunne having to interfere. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Trevor Dunne sped through Durrus's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Irwin Costello. Bannan McJames sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, Bannan McJames ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Irwin Costello was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After the first half Intoxicated were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Trevor Dunne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Donavon McPaul came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Durrus fans jumped to their feet. Douglas Caffey got his second yellow card in the match during the 65th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Durrus booed when Intoxicated was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Payton McIan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 68 played minutes, Durrus's Darick Benson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Batt Dunne came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Durrus reached it. 70 minutes into the match, Intoxicated's goal looked a bit too open when Donavon McPaul came free, but Batt Dunne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Donavon McPaul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Batt Dunne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donavon McPaul, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Payton McIan's late challenge caught a Durrus's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Payton McIan helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Intoxicated getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Payton McIan hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Intoxicated's Conaill Dempsey got a free kick in the 95th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Intoxicated walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
