Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Colm McWill took the kick off in the first half of the match. Baodan Glen Crowe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Keely Matthews, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. George Holt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Herne Byrne went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 16th minute, Bradagain Matthews hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Breed Sheridan might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Baodan Glen Crowe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Breed Sheridan ran back to his position shaking his head. Conaghra's Colm McWill was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 23rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After 27 minutes of play, Conaghra's Herne Byrne made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. George Holt was left in no man's land by his defense there! 30 minutes into the match, Herne Byrne dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of George Holt, 4-0. Herne Byrne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baodan Glen Crowe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Keely Matthews went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Booak McAaron stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Colm McWill in the 52nd minute of play forced Los Malaguistas's goalkeeper George Holt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herne Byrne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. George Holt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gil Rogers kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Los Malaguistas's George Holt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Colm McWill in the 60th minute of play. After 67 played minutes Los Malaguistas got a freekick which was hit by Herne Hunt. In the 74th minute Herne Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Holt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colm McWill's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but George Holt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Baodan Glen Crowe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Keely Matthews in the 80th minute. In the 82nd minute, Torey Duggan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Malaguistas's goalkeeper George Holt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Booak McAaron kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Colm McWill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. George Holt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Herne Byrne blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without George Holt having to make a save. George Holt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Colm McWill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Beothach Caffrey fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Malaguistas's protests and gave Beothach Caffrey a yellow card for diving instead. The referee gave Conaghra a penalty, 95 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Joshua Ramsey, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Los Malaguistas's George Holt. 5-1. Conaghra's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
