In the 14th minute Harley Frankson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joshua Johnson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joshua Johnson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harley Frankson, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Dennis Gough struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Lou Morrison didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dundalk FC. Donahue McAlphie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lou Morrison having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Rossgeir's zone, Derry Ferguson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lou Morrison came out of the goal and Derry Ferguson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lou Morrison acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 32nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Auley Taylor. 35 minutes into the match, Rossgeir's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Gough came free, but Lou Morrison reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Barra McPhilip during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lou Morrison came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Dundalk FC's Dennis Gough. But to his dismay, Dennis Gough quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Lou Morrison showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Gough in the 45th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Harley Frankson during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Dennis Gough made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Barhart McJon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 56 minutes in the game, Harley Frankson fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Joshua Johnson having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Dundalk FC's zone, Barhart McJon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joshua Johnson came out of the goal and Barhart McJon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harley Frankson in the 66th minute of play forced Dundalk FC's goalkeeper Joshua Johnson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lou Morrison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dennis Gough, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dennis Gough in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lou Morrison saved Rossgeir from getting behind. In the 81st minute, Harley Frankson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Joshua Johnson. The goal made the score 1-1. In the 87th minute of the match Auley Taylor sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lou Morrison skillfully saved the ball. In the 88thth minute of the game Dennis Gough who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rossgeir's Lou Morrison was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Rossgeir's zone, Donahue McAlphie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lou Morrison came out of the goal and Donahue McAlphie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
