When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Bevan Martyn sped through Toom's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Harkin Todd. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Críostóir Delaney took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Harkin Todd to make any attempt to save it. Harkin Todd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bevan Martyn, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bevan Martyn stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Harkin Todd prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 69th minute, Bevan Martyn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 75th minute, Pearce Gough left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Toom fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2.
