Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) FC Suduva's Curran John started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Pearson McLian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maulykeavane's supporters rose to their feet, but Pearson McLian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beehan Gillmour breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Royan Myler kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 8th minute of the match Brogan McJames sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Beehan Gillmour skillfully saved the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Maulykeavane's goalkeeper Russ Coyle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Barnaby Silke. With a little luck, Maulykeavane's Russ Coyle got control of the ball when Barnaby Silke tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 19 played minutes Maulykeavane got a freekick which was hit by Abbot McNamara. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Bivadi McNamee managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Suduva's supporters rose to their feet, but Bivadi McNamee was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Russ Coyle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Barnaby Silke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Russ Coyle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Russ Coyle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Curran John's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Dugan Rutherford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Beehan Gillmour tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Maulykeavane's zone, Curran John stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Russ Coyle came out of the goal and Curran John tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 35 minutes, Gil Matthews mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Suduva and the Maulykeavane players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 35th match minute, FC Suduva was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gil Matthews to maneuver through the defense. Pearson McLian scored 0-1 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Beehan Gillmour, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FC Suduva's Curran John got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Barnaby Silke blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Russ Coyle having to make a save. Curran John sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The FC Suduva players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Maulykeavane were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Pearson McLian made the kick off in the second half. Bradigan McStephen hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After 61 played minutes Maulykeavane got a freekick which was hit by Abbot McNamara. Gil Matthews hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Curran John kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Maulykeavane's Pearson McLian slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Beehan Gillmour. That made the score 0-3 after 73 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dugan Rutherford got free with Beehan Gillmour in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Barnaby Silke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Maulykeavane's Donncha McJohn got a free kick in the 87th minute. Barnaby Silke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Russ Coyle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Maulykeavane's Brogan McJames got a free kick in the 90th minute. Barnaby Silke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Russ Coyle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Breenan Lester in the 96th minute of play. The Maulykeavane supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Maulykeavane would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
