Spectators: 7994 (Terracing: 5997, Seating: 1838, VIP seats: 159) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Blayne McBjarton took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Blayne McBjarton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maradona's Brak McJohnny got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Donn McPhilip had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 6th match minute, Maradona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Booak Benson to maneuver through the defense. Donn McPhilip received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Bradigan Cassin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Brak McJohnny came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Maradona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brak McJohnny couldn't finish the play. After 13 minutes of play, Maradona's Donn McPhilip made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bradigan Cassin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bradigan Cassin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thom McLaughlin, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Thom McLaughlin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Brak McJohnny struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Bradigan Cassin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maradona. The audience was convinced that Brak McJohnny's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bradigan Cassin was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Maradona's Brak McJohnny got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 34th minute Brak McJohnny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bradigan Cassin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donn McPhilip struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Bradigan Cassin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maradona. If Donn McPhilip had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thom McLaughlin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Donn McPhilip had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Brak McJohnny made a kick off. Brak McJohnny had several of the Dublin Athlétic™'s defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 56 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Bradigan Cassin as he didn't even see the shot coming. Maradona's Booak Benson quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Branson MaCollin, made in the 60th minute of the game. Brak McJohnny received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Bradigan Cassin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Dublin Athlétic™'s Bairee McJames got a free kick in the 82nd minute. If Brak McJohnny had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donn McPhilip's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bradigan Cassin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Tiomoid McOliver's late challenge caught a Maradona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tiomoid McOliver helped the player get up and apologised. Bradigan Cassin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brak McJohnny in the 96th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Brak McJohnny managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maradona's supporters rose to their feet, but Brak McJohnny was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bradigan Cassin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Dublin Athlétic™ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Maradona were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
