Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Brann McWilliam kicked off to start the match. When Pearson Dempsey in the 4th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Boynton Harkin kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. A hard shot 8 in the game by Bray Deans from a close distance when the talented Boynton Harkin managed to make a qualified save. forgotten Town's players were relieved. After 10 minutes, Balor Caffrey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballykean and the forgotten Town players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Ballykean getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Balor Caffrey hit a great ball. Ballykean's Booak McPeter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brann McWilliam in the 12th minute of play. The supporters of Ballykean booed when forgotten Town was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bannan McBrand didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes into the match, forgotten Town's goal looked a bit too open when Bray Deans came free, but Boynton Harkin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pearson Dempsey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Boynton Harkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute Brann McWilliam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Booak McPeter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute, forgotten Town's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Pearson Dempsey fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Brann McWilliam struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Booak McPeter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for forgotten Town. Booak McPeter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desmond Barrett in the 27th minute of play. Boynton Harkin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pearson Dempsey, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Bray Deans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boynton Harkin having to interfere. Boynton Harkin made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Pearson Dempsey sent off a good shot on target. Earnán Deans's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 43rdth minute, Boynton Harkin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pearson Dempsey during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 46th minute Gerard Harkin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Booak McPeter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pearson Dempsey made a kick off. If Brann McWilliam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 53 minutes into the game, Desmond Barrett was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. forgotten Town's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballykean the free kick. Pearson Dempsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boynton Harkin having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Earnán Deans in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Boynton Harkin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Desmond Barrett was shown his second yellow card after 58 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Desmond Barrett hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After having played for 60 minutes, Pearson Dempsey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballykean's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pearson Dempsey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gerard Harkin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Booak McPeter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Earnán Deans in the 64th minute of play forced forgotten Town's goalkeeper Boynton Harkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 65 minutes, Cormac Beckett mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballykean and the forgotten Town players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 65 played minutes Ballykean got a freekick which was hit by Cormac Beckett. In the 68th minute, Brann McWilliam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Earnán Deans in the 70th minute of play forced forgotten Town's goalkeeper Boynton Harkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Earnán Deans blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Boynton Harkin having to make a save. If Pearson Dempsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 77th match minute, Ballykean was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cormac Beckett to maneuver through the defense. Cormac Beckett kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Ballykean's goalkeeper Booak McPeter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gerard Harkin. In the 90th minute, Cormac Beckett ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Boynton Harkin was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Booak McPeter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerard Harkin in the 94th minute. Boynton Harkin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pearson Dempsey, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Ballykean's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
