Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Boyce Dalton started the match with the kick off. If Beara McTom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Torna Hunt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tierney McGlenn having to interfere. 0-1 became the score in the 8th minute when Beara McTom elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Newtownbarry FC's Tierney McGlenn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torna Hunt in the 11th minute of play. Tierney McGlenn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beara McTom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Bairne Hughes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Aghavas's Pearson Doherty got a free kick in the 19th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Boyce Dalton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newtownbarry FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Boyce Dalton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dewayne Callaghan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Boyce Dalton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dewayne Callaghan having to interfere. If Boyce Dalton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 27 minutes of play, Newtownbarry FC's Bairne Hughes made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dewayne Callaghan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Beara McTom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Tierney McGlenn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bairne Hughes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dewayne Callaghan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Beara McTom made the kick off in the second half. Aghavas's Torna Hunt got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Torna Hunt scored 1-2 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tierney McGlenn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 61st minute, Beara McTom left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aghavas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 64th minute, Donal McBrand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Newtownbarry FC's Boyce Dalton, in the 65th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Newtownbarry FC. Torna Hunt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tierney McGlenn having to make a save. In the 75thth minute of the game Beara McTom who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Newtownbarry FC's Tierney McGlenn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Barclay McTom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dewayne Callaghan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bairne Hughes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beara McTom in the 82nd minute of play forced Newtownbarry FC's goalkeeper Tierney McGlenn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tierney McGlenn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beara McTom in the 84th minute of play. Bairne Hughes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dewayne Callaghan having to make a save. Tierney McGlenn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Torna Hunt in the 92nd minute. Dewayne Callaghan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bairne Hughes in the 95th minute of play. The Aghavas players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
