Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Boyce Dalton kicked off to start the match. Reidy Lavine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Tierney McGlenn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th match minute, Letterlough was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geoffrey Ramsey to maneuver through the defense. Raymond Keegan kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Raymond Keegan made a precise shot to the right of Roland Dimson. Letterlough's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Tierney McGlenn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Dalton in the 19th minute of play. Reidy Lavine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tierney McGlenn having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Newtownbarry FC's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Dalton came free, but Tierney McGlenn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Damian Dalton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Letterlough's supporters rose to their feet, but Damian Dalton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tierney McGlenn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 34th minute, Barde Silke made a precise shot to the right of Tierney McGlenn. Newtownbarry FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Damian Dalton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice moves Reidy Lavine could shoot a difficult shot in the 42nd minute, which Tierney McGlenn however easily saved by the left post. In the 44th minute, Barde Silke ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tierney McGlenn was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After a rather tough play, Letterlough's Geoffrey Ramsey got a free kick in the 46th minute. Roland Dimson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boyce Dalton in the 48th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Damian Dalton to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Boyce Dalton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roland Dimson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th match minute, Letterlough was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geoffrey Ramsey to maneuver through the defense. After 62 played minutes Letterlough got a freekick which was hit by Eoin Callaghan. Bean Todd hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. The supporters of Letterlough booed when Newtownbarry FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barclay McTom didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reidy Lavine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tierney McGlenn having to interfere. A collision led to Newtownbarry FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Barclay McTom hit a great ball. 81 minutes into the game, Letterlough's Barde Silke nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tierney McGlenn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. In the 84th minute Damian Dalton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tierney McGlenn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Newtownbarry FC's goalkeeper Tierney McGlenn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Newtownbarry FC's zone, Reidy Lavine stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tierney McGlenn came out of the goal and Reidy Lavine tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Letterlough booed when Newtownbarry FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Killian Delaney didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Newtownbarry FC defense, Bodibeve Glen Crowe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tierney McGlenn. The Newtownbarry FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tierney McGlenn should have stopped the shot.
