Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Brannon Hutton kicked off to start the match. In the 15th minute of the match, Tierney Crowe got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pierce MaCollin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Theobald Taylor charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Theobald Taylor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Beiti Willson charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Theobald Taylor scored 0-2 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bohannon Horgan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

A collision led to Powerstown getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Timmons McDecland hit a great ball. 56 minutes into the match, Powerstown's goal looked a bit too open when Herich Lester came free, but Pierce MaCollin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bohannon Horgan made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Beiti Willson sent off a good shot on target. In the 71st minute Theobald Taylor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bohannon Horgan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Powerstown's goal looked a bit too open when Herich Lester came free, but Pierce MaCollin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beiti Willson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th match minute, Powerstown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beiti Willson to maneuver through the defense. If Tierney Crowe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the match, Flughany's goalkeeper Bohannon Horgan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Theobald Taylor. The supporters of Powerstown booed when Flughany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Seosamh Willson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Flughany's zone, Brannon Hutton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bohannon Horgan came out of the goal and Brannon Hutton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 86 played minutes Powerstown got a freekick which was hit by Timmons McDecland. Theobald Taylor got his second yellow card in the match during the 96th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 97th minute, Theobald Taylor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Powerstown supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Powerstown would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
