Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Pearson Dempsey took the kick off in the first half of the match. Bras Willson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Booak McPeter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Renny McJohn hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Attinkee's Bras Willson got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute Pearson Dempsey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bell Colwell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pearson Dempsey hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pearson Dempsey in the 26th minute of play forced Attinkee's goalkeeper Bell Colwell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Ballykean booed when Attinkee was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renny McJohn didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute, Attinkee's Tiarnan McJohnny seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Tiarnan McJohnny the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Attinkee protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Tiarnan McJohnny had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 33rd minute, one of Attinkee:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Attinkee. The referee gave Ballykean a penalty, 36 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Pearson Dempsey, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Attinkee's Bell Colwell. 0-1. In the 40th match minute, Attinkee was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bras Willson to maneuver through the defense. Pearson Dempsey took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bell Colwell. Bell Colwell dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Beatty Ramsey to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Beatty Ramsey left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Attinkee fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 55th minute, Adamnan Robinson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute of the match, Pearson Dempsey tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bell Colwell saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Bell Colwell came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Ballykean's Earnán Deans. But to his dismay, Earnán Deans quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Earnán Deans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Bell Colwell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bell Colwell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pearson Dempsey in the 73rd minute of play. In the 74th minute, Cahir Dunne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bell Colwell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cormac Beckett, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Earnán Deans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Bell Colwell made a huge save. Cahir Dunne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ballykean's goalkeeper Booak McPeter, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Ballykean booed when Attinkee was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bras Willson didn't get a good kick on the ball. During the 90th minute of the match Pearson Dempsey completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Pearson Dempsey a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 91st match minute, Ballykean was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pearson Dempsey to maneuver through the defense. Ballykean's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
