Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Damian Dalton took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rdth minute of the game Reidy Lavine who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Belvelly's Gordan McTom was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Reidy Lavine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reidy Lavine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Belvelly's Gordan McTom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Dalton in the 15th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Belvelly's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Dalton came free, but Gordan McTom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute, Damian Dalton left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Letterlough fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Reidy Lavine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roordan Mullan succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 32nd playminute. In the 44th minute Damian Dalton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gordan McTom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Austin McFrancise made the kick off in the second half. Gordan McTom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Dalton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 53rd minute, Reidy Lavine got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Damian Dalton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Gordan McTom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Geoffrey Ramsey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Raymond Murphy came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Belvelly fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raymond Murphy couldn't finish the play. Roland Dimson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roordan Mullan went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. If Roordan Mullan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reidy Lavine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gordan McTom having to interfere. Gordan McTom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Dalton in the 86th minute of play. In the 90thth minute of the game Baoithin Caffrey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Letterlough's Roland Dimson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Letterlough's Barde Silke got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Reidy Lavine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
