Bailey Cooney showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Joseph McPhil charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joseph McPhil the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Joseph McPhil hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Quinsborough Utd's Finbar Holt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heron Glen Crowe in the 32nd minute of play. After 43 minutes of play, Quinsborough Utd's Paudraig McPhilip made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Beara Glen Crowe was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Quinsborough Utd's Finbar Holt got control of the ball when Teigue McPeter tried to sneak it across the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paudraig McPhilip was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Bailey Cooney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Finbar Holt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 54 minutes, Paudraig McPhilip mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quinsborough Utd and the Drumaville players grew even worse after the yellow card. Paudraig McPhilip hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Teigue McPeter might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Finbar Holt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teigue McPeter ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teigue McPeter in the 61st minute of play forced Quinsborough Utd's goalkeeper Finbar Holt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Beara Glen Crowe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paudraig McPhilip in the 66th minute of the match. When Bailey Cooney came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Drumaville fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bailey Cooney couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bera Callaghan during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Drumaville's Bera Callaghan got a free kick in the 71st minute. After some careless play in the Quinsborough Utd defense, Bailey Cooney kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Finbar Holt. The Quinsborough Utd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Finbar Holt should have stopped the shot. Many of Quinsborough Utd's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Quinsborough Utd may have spent more time on the ball, but Drumaville were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
