In the 13th minute, one of Kindrohid:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kindrohid. Oliver Palmer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ennis Tracy, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After 34 minutes of play, Ballyguin's Reidy McVictor made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Oliver Palmer was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Ennis Tracy in the 40th minute of play forced Kindrohid's goalkeeper Oliver Palmer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hugh McDecland hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Batt Rogers was the one to do the kick off. Cian Cronin charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 84th match minute, Kindrohid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geary Benson to maneuver through the defense. The excitement rose when Ballyguin's Aubrey McPaul after 86 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Kindrohid's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 5-0. Reidy McVictor struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Oliver Palmer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballyguin. In the 91st minute, Ennis Tracy made a precise shot to the right of Oliver Palmer. Kindrohid's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. A collision led to Kindrohid getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Geary Benson hit a great ball. There was no doubt that Ballyguin were the better team. Ballyguin's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
