After a defensive mix-up in Cloonaquin's zone, Bren Robinson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bradain McCready came out of the goal and Bren Robinson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 9th minute, Brefni McJohn reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bradain McCready. The goal made the score 1-0. Bradain McCready made an important save on a dangerous shot by Branson Gollogley in the 12th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Branson Gollogley got free with Bradain McCready in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Cloonaquin defense, Breanainn Doherty kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bradain McCready. The Cloonaquin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bradain McCready should have stopped the shot. Paudraig Johnson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cianán Perth in the 21st minute of the match. In the 30th match minute, Cloonaquin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cianán Perth to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Cloonaquin's Begg Dimson got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Bradain McCready showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breanainn Doherty, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Breanainn Doherty to strike the kick off in the second half. Bradain McCready made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Branson Gollogley in the 52nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Cloonaquin's Brannan McSteven got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Don Frankson charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Don Frankson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 63rd minute, Don Frankson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 68 played minutes Carrickmore got a freekick which was hit by Breanainn Doherty. In the 72nd minute, Branson Gollogley ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bradain McCready was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Bradain McCready took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Branson Gollogley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th match minute, Cloonaquin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harley Silke to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Carrickmore booed when Cloonaquin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cianán Perth didn't get a good kick on the ball. Branson Gollogley scored 4-0 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bradain McCready, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 90 played minutes Cloonaquin got a freekick which was hit by Harley Silke. Bradon Kirby took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bradain McCready. Cloonaquin's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Carrickmore's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
