Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ryleigh McLaughlin got the match started through his kick off. Kyle Dillon struck a weak shot in the 2nd minute. Beehan Ghee didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dundalk FC. Berach McNamee hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After 11 played minutes Dundalk FC got a freekick which was hit by Enda Costello. Torrian Dillon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beehan Ghee having to interfere. A collision led to Killasser FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Ainnle MaCollin hit a great ball. Ryleigh McLaughlin scored 1-0 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fintan Doherty, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Breandan Cooney recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ryleigh McLaughlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 32 minutes, Ainnle MaCollin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Killasser FC and the Dundalk FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Killasser FC's Ainnle MaCollin got a free kick in the 32nd minute. The audience held their breath when Harkin McLaughlin in the 34th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Beehan Ghee's left hand side. In the 35th minute, Oliver Robinson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Beehan Ghee was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 40th match minute, Killasser FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berach McNamee to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 43 in the game by Ryleigh McLaughlin from a close distance when the talented Fintan Doherty managed to make a qualified save. Dundalk FC's players were relieved. After having played for 46 minutes, Berach McNamee managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Killasser FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Berach McNamee was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fintan Doherty made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ryleigh McLaughlin in the 47th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oliver Robinson to make the kick off. Berach McNamee struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Fintan Doherty didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Killasser FC. Ryleigh McLaughlin's late challenge caught a Dundalk FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ryleigh McLaughlin helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Dundalk FC booed when Killasser FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ryleigh McLaughlin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fintan Doherty stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ryleigh McLaughlin's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. After a rather tough play, Dundalk FC's Curran McSteven got a free kick in the 65th minute. After 70th play minutes Oliver Robinson shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Beehan Ghee and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 76th match minute, Dundalk FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kyle Dillon to maneuver through the defense. 79 minutes into the match, Dundalk FC's Kyle Dillon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Beehan Ghee narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dundalk FC's Fintan Doherty played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ryleigh McLaughlin in the 81st minute of play. When Ryleigh McLaughlin came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Killasser FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ryleigh McLaughlin couldn't finish the play. Ryleigh McLaughlin might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fintan Doherty. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ryleigh McLaughlin ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliver Robinson in the 95th minute of play forced Killasser FC's goalkeeper Beehan Ghee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
