A collision led to Briskil Utd getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Kieran Doherty hit a great ball. Beglan McCready showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donegal Caffey, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Bree McPeter struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Rownun Murphy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Briskil Utd. After 36 played minutes Briskil Utd got a freekick which was hit by Birr Glen Crowe. Bree McPeter hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Bree McPeter blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rownun Murphy having to make a save. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dermod McCready was the one to do the kick off. Beglan McCready took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dermod McCready, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bree McPeter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Rownun Murphy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Brendanus MaCollin fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coolmannan's protests and gave Brendanus MaCollin a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bree McPeter in the 82nd minute of play forced Coolmannan's goalkeeper Rownun Murphy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bree McPeter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 94 minutes, Bree McPeter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
